The extra paper, leftover from making labels, compelled me to add another touch to our honey jars. I decided to make a “comb honey” info tag to stick on the back. Many people don’t see or use comb honey anymore. We enjoy chewing it like gum. If not in the mood for that, we squeeze the honey out with a spoon and set the wax aside. I give it back to our bees to clean up and then collect their leftovers for melting.
I figured I’d also add some lifesaving words at the bottom of the tag. Every little bit helps! Check out http://www.xerces.org. This is an amazing organization, working to preserve our global pollinators. Their beautiful website offers useful information for teachers, gardeners, and any concerned pollinator supporter.
